Include application and curing conditions in the material enquiry
For exposed work, record the actual substrate temperature, direct sunlight, wind and planned protection during application and curing. Air temperature alone does not establish suitability. Ask for the current technical data for the selected material and identify how the specified conditions will be maintained.
Distinguish water exposure from chemical exposure
A waterproofing requirement does not by itself define resistance to every salt or chemical. Provide the intended service environment and any available water or soil analysis for assessment. For retaining walls and foundations, include drainage, the water-facing side and the point at which the coating becomes inaccessible.
