Rapid Water-Plug Cement for Active Leaks

Rapid-setting mortar for local water ingress

This chloride-free cement-based plugging mortar starts setting when mixed with water and expands slightly during hardening. It is intended for local seepage and water ingress in basements, shafts and similar structures, including locations with water pressure.

Technical overview

The selected grade has a temperature-dependent working time of approximately 1–2 minutes. Indicative consumption is about 2 kg per litre of void. It is supplied in 20 kg containers. Substrate and material temperatures should be at least +5°C. Confirm the current technical and safety data sheets before use.

Where it fits in the waterproofing system

Plugging mortar is rigid. The area being sealed must be sound, clean and free of movement; later cracking or movement can cause leakage. A local plug may need a surrounding surface treatment. Compare cementitious waterproofing slurry and review basement waterproofing system selection.

Can this replace full basement waterproofing?

A local repair addresses a specific leakage point. Describe the wider moisture pattern in your enquiry so that the project can be considered as a whole.
