Mineral coatings for below-ground structures
Cementitious surface systems can be used on prepared concrete and masonry against moisture and, for suitable grades and thicknesses, water pressure. Typical applications include basement and retaining walls. Selection must account for the substrate, exposure and access to the surface.
Preparation matters
For the mineral slurry system, joints and defects require attention before coating. Concrete must have open pores and be free of release oil and cement residues. Absorbent surfaces require pre-wetting. Apply the specified layers and allow each coat to set as instructed. Protect the finished waterproofing from mechanical damage, including during backfilling, and from adverse weather during application and curing.

Send the country and project location; concrete or masonry construction, approximate age and surface area; where moisture appears and whether it is continuous or intermittent; photographs of walls, floors, corners and visible defects; access from inside, outside or both, plus drawings if available; required delivery timing and whether you need a project quotation or distribution quantities.

Do new and existing concrete need the same approach?
